{"id":59,"date":"2020-03-13T14:14:01","date_gmt":"2020-03-13T14:14:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abhidaho.com\/?page_id=59"},"modified":"2026-06-10T16:10:45","modified_gmt":"2026-06-10T23:10:45","slug":"domestic-violence","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/abhidaho.com\/?page_id=59","title":{"rendered":"Domestic Violence &#038; Anger Management Classes \/ Groups"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Classes are offered in person at the clinic located at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/place\/123+McClure+Ave,+Nampa,+ID+83651\/@43.5877805,-116.5791657,17z\/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x54ae4c629804093d:0xc03244013b73e9c4!8m2!3d43.5877805!4d-116.5791657\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">123 McClure Avenue, Suite A, Nampa, Idaho, 83651<\/a>, Thursdays and Fridays at five p.m., Saturdays at 10 a.m. and 12pm.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Walk-in times are Thursdays and Fridays at 430 p.m., Saturdays at 130 p.m., you do not need an appointment, you can complete your pretreatment sessions, or simply ask questions about enrollment at these times.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><em>If you do not have any charges pending, and are not sentenced to any type of anger management or domestic violence classes, depending on the clinic caseload you may be able to attend on a voluntary basis for free if approved. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><em>The classes are primarily focused on those mandated, or who are successful graduates. If you have charges pending, or are waiting to be sentenced, you can fill out an application but will not be enrolled until after your sentencing.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><em><mark style=\"background-color:#f78da7\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">*NOTE &#8211; individuals mandated to less than the Idaho Council on Domestic Violence and Victim Assistance standard of a minimum of 52 sessions will be accepted on a case-by-case basis as determined by the clinic director.<\/mark><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Please Note:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">*This can take 10-15 minutes to complete the form<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">*You will not be able to save your work, so make sure you schedule enough time for yourself to finish<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">*All fields are required! If you come to a question does not apply, enter N\/A in the blank field<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>** The following paperwork will be required to <\/strong><\/span><\/em><strong><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">enroll <\/span><\/em><\/strong>&#8211; from application, intake interview to starting classes can take about 1-2 weeks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Police incident reports for the current offense and any other offenses against family members<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Police incident reports for any protection order violations (No Contact Order violations, Restraining Order violations, Civil Protection Order violations, etc.), which can be obtained from the agencies that completed the report<\/em>.  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Just google &#8220;Police incident reports (name of arresting agency &#8211; e.g. Nampa Police Department, Canyon County Sheriff&#8217;s Office)&#8221; and most agencies will have a page where you either electronically request records, or print out a request form and then submit it. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Judgement or parole agreement sentencing you to treatment,  including the number of sessions \/ hours to be completed which you should have received after being sentenced or can obtain from the courthouse where you were sentenced, or where applicable a letter \/ order from your probation officer instructing you to enroll<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>A copy of your criminal history which can be obtained for the state of Idaho off of:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/icourt.idaho.gov\/\">https:\/\/icourt.idaho.gov\/&nbsp;<\/a>&nbsp;&#8211; other states and jurisdictions may require a web search to locate how to obtain your history, or contacting the original jurisdiction where you were sentenced<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>A copy of your domestic violence evaluation, mental health evaluation, stalking evaluation if you received one.  These may need to be requested from your attorney or you can request the person who did your evaluation to email them to the clinic, matt@abhidaho.com or they can fax them to (208) 936-7131<\/em> (24-hour secure fax). <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To enroll in groups, simply complete the application on the link below, which will automatically be sent to the clinic and we can get your enrollment process started.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><mark style=\"background-color:#fcb900\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\"><a href=\"https:\/\/fs29.formsite.com\/cookbehavioralhealth\/form2\/index\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">>>Domestic Violence Class Enrollment Packet&lt;&lt;<\/a> (YOU WILL NEED TO KNOW <\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><mark style=\"background-color:#fcb900\" class=\"has-inline-color\">YOUR CASE NUMBER, YOUR END DATE OF PROBATION, <\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><mark style=\"background-color:#fcb900\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">BOTH OF WHICH ARE FOUND ON YOUR JUDGEMENT (pink sheet) or PAROLE AGREEMENT &#8211; YOU CAN ASK YOUR PO OR CALL THE COURT CLERK (Google search the court clerk), or even look yourself up WHERE YOU WERE SENTENCED FOR THIS INFO IF YOU DO NOT HAVE IT).<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Payments are non-refundable if you are discharged from the program or fail to complete it. Any overpayment will be applied to future sessions. Payments more than a month in advance are not accepted.
